Hello Minnesota! It's me, Marlena or as they like to call me- Lainey or Sweets! This is my first winter in the cold snow. I am fairing just fine so far, I have a couple of pretty cute coats I like to wear when foster mom takes me on walks. I came up to Minnesota a couple of months ago after the huge hurricane that hit. Wait back it up a little bit. See I had a home at one time. I was living in an apartment and one day this nice man called the landlord, found me just sitting in this empty apartment. I guess my family moved out and somehow forgot to bring me along. I am not sure why I am always such a good girl! Anyways long story short- Next I found myself at a big shelter and this big Hurricane hit my city. They said that they needed to make room for the dogs displaced by the storm so they said I needed to find a way out or get put down. That's when I found myself on a nice road trip and landed in a foster home.
I am all about embracing life and seeing where the road leads. My foster home is a fun great place. I LOVE to lay in front of the space heater or the heat vents, I call that my little slice of heaven. If you let me, I would love to cuddle in your lap, but I am happy just laying next to you or on the floor by your feet. Sometimes I just want to get really silly and I'll roll around on floor and kick my feet up on the air. What, sometimes I just like to rub my back on the ground, can you blame a girl? I love napping and cuddling, I could be a professional, car rides also a fun time. If you let me I love riding shot gun and looking out the window. Small kids are awesome. I had a temporary foster home for two weeks when I first arrived that had two young kids and they were great. I loved to give them very gentle kisses. I love going for walks and exploring, I am also pretty good at following your pace if you'd like to go jogging.
My ideal house would just be me and my humans. Kitties just run around so fast I can't help but want to chase them around. Other dogs are ok, I like the chill laid back males better then other girls. What- less competition for the love :). I can be picky with my furry friends sometimes which is why I would prefer it to be all me unless the other dog is really cool.
